Nike's Vapor F.U.S.E. template was released in college football, although Oregon has been using it since 2019. The FUSE featured a new collar design, with most schools using the v-shaped seam across the chest. However, LSU used horizontal seaming due to the UCLA-style shoulder stripes. There were a lot of changes to uniforms, including the introduction of the Gold/White/White combination. The Gold/Purple/Gold was worn in a bowl game against Wisconsin. This was worn for the first time in school history against Army. A #3 Sticker was placed on the back helmet for Greg Brooks Jr after he had emergency brain surgery. First Time Ever

In 2020, due to the Covid pandemic, only conference games were played in college sports. During this time, LSU continued to wear their traditional uniforms with a 'Tiger's United' patch on the left chest. This was part of an initiative by LSU to promote racial and social equality in college sports. Many people across the United States witnessed the unrest and demonstrations in various cities and communities following the deaths of African American men and women in Minneapolis and Louisville. This movement was across college sports, with schools like Arkansas wearing 'Equality' patches.

2019 witnessed the greatest team in college football, as Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow and the Tigers achieved a perfect 15-0 record for the 150th college football season. The first ever college football game took place on November 6, 1869, between Princeton University and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. To commemorate the 150th anniversary a 150 patch was added to the chest across the NCAA. The logo was created by SME (now known as MOGO.SME).

The biggest drop of the 2018 season was the "Silent Season" uniform." "Silent Season" of 1918, when the program didn't play a game because of World War I. To honor those who died during the war, 30 trees were planted in Memorial Oak Grove, with one additional tree dedicated to "The Unknown" A special helmet that changes color from purple to gold under the lights, jersey numbers with early 20th century typeface and an oak leaf pattern featured on the collar, pant striping, and numbers. This also was the 125th year of LSU football, the patch was added to the chest. The logo was done by Torch Creative.

Gridiron Gold uniforms were worn against Mississippi State. These uniforms were a throwback to the 1940s jerseys worn by Y.A. Tittle during his playing years. The idea to create this throwback design was triggered by Tittle’s visit to the LSU campus. The jersey numbers on the uniform resembled those of the 1940s, while the helmet featured block numbers similar to those on the helmets from 1957 till 1971. Sailor Mike replaced the SEC logo on the front collar of the jersey. The jersey itself is an "old" gold and has shoulders stripes on the outside, replicating the design of the 1940s uniforms.. In 2013, Nike introduced two new features for LSU. One was the Nike Pro Combat uniforms which were worn full time. They had only been worn once before in 2011 when Nike launched 11 uniforms for multiple schools. The other feature was the 58-degree number font. This font paid homage to the 1958 national championship team and featured a 58-degree angle at each corner. After the 2013 season, the font became wider and still remains on the uniform today. Additionally, this was also the last season that the 1972 Tiger Head logo would appear on the helmet.

LSU appears on the chest plate for the first time in school history. 2009 unveiled Nike's first ProCombat uniform for the Tigers. Nicknamed "cochon de lait," it translates to Pig Roast in French. Nike Pro Combat utilized enhanced Pro technology with four-way stretch Dri-Fit material to manage moisture during activity. LSU was one of the 10 schools to introduce the Pro Combat Uniforms. Looks wise its a throwback in a way to the gold helmets of the late 40's early 50's. The sleeve stripes are a tribute to the 40's again, the YA. Tittle days. These stripes would return on the 2016 "Gridiron Gold" uniforms.

A lot going on in 2007! 2007 would be the 75th anniversary of the SEC, the logo patch was added to the shoulder. Nike teamed with LSU and Tulane to create special uniforms as an effort to assist in the Hurrican Katrina recovery efforts. A special pelican emblem was created for both Tulane and LSU that sat on the shoulders. The "Blaze" template seems to be the Nike template used in these uniforms.
