100 Year Celebration of Tiger Stadium kickoffs tonight against the Ole Miss Rebels. LSU had no announcements for the field or uniform wise when they announced the Ole Miss game being the celebration game. The spring game was the first sign of the new field design. End zones marked with the architectural design of the north side and 100 year logo on both sides of the 25 yard lines.
Many hoped to see some sort of special uniform for the 100 year celebration, mainly a throwback helmet. Now when we say throwback helmet, we aren’t talking 2009 Gold, or the changing color helmet from 2018. I, along with many wanted the numbered helmet, last worn against Ole Miss in 2018.
LSU will only add the “100 Year” decal along with a pink ribbon over the center stripe for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Which is definitely the way to go especially when you already did a throwback helmet against Ole Miss for the 125th year of LSU football in 2018.
